Rex was established in 2002 when two regional airlines formerly under the Ansett Airlines umbrella were acquired by a consortium of Australian and International investors.

Rex operates a fleet of 21 Saab 340 Aircraft which can accommodate approximately 34 passengers. These twin engine turboprop aircraft are ideal for short haul flights to Australia's outback, large enough to get you there in comfort yet small enough to meet regional airport standards.
